dance, like poetry, is about chaos
into order. animal passion tamed
and constrained into pastoral chambers
whence they can be paraded about reigned
in beneath the fierce eyes of holier-
than-thou hypocrites who hide their vices
and passions behind veils of lace and lie.
truth and beauty tamed and painted upon
cathedral triptychs, music rhythmic sung
chanted strummed and blown from instruments
whose repression of passion is matched by
its wondrous expression in ordered scales,
numeric truth in notes and lines timed, rhymed,
ordered stanzaic and danced triumphant.
