Captured

I captured your eyes,   your skin’s perfect tone,
the feel of your hands on my skin,   your smile
and heart-filling laugh,   the shape of your face
with its luminescence and sculpted framework,
that particular undulation of hips
you sport into a room and the quality
of your calves,   thighs,   and buttocks,   splendid breasts
described to poetic perfection within
my ode   (though such beauty no pentameter
can retain in perfect scansion)     your voice
that husky music in conversation and
blues siren in song also I captured   .  .  .
o! but your heart,   your hot red heart I could not
capture in such petty lines with merely ink.
